Is it safe to use price checking apps? (Specifically sidekick)

Just started trading for the first time and I saw some people were recommending to use sidekick. Not gonna lie it’s really nice to have but now I’m wondering if it’s something that could cause a ban / is it actually safe since it’s a 3rd party app?

I personally use exiled exchange, sidekick should also be "safe" as far as not being a malware concern.
Make sure you are getting anything like this from their official sources though. Copycats exist. They aren't up to any good.

They technically *could* cause a ban but so could your mouse software or any number of other things.

HOWEVER,
These are established tools that the community has been using for a long time without issue.
I HIGHLY doubt GGG would just randomly start handing out bans without a public announcement/warning to stop using them ahead of time.
That would piss off a LOAD of people.
