Talismans Doesn't Count as Runes

I've been playing the current league in PoE 2 as a rarity aura bot with a friend and I've been using the Morior Invictus unique armor.

Up until today I've been using Great Iron Runes in the armor because for some reason I couldn't get any rabbit talismans from the Currency Exchange.
When I logged in today I saw that I could exchange some currency for those talismans so I did, 5 rabbit talismans for my armor, 40% more rarity, awesome.

Now, my armor has "6% to all elemental resistance per socket filled" but I noticed that I was a lot more squishy after the change but I couldn't put my finger on why until I noticed that all my resistance had dropped, by a lot.

Apparently the talismans don't count towards the "per socket filled". I changed one of the talismans in the armor to a Iron Rune again and I got the 6% resistance immediately. I then changed the Iron rune to a Fox talisman and I lost the 6%.

Is it a bug or on purpose? I mean, even with my rarity find at about 370% it's not like me and my friend is breaking the bank so I don't see why the armor wouldn't work with talismans.
The aurobot build I'm following is from 0.2 so I'm guessing there could be a change and if it is, it's a stupid change.

Not my personal build but the guilds build, rarity gear shared between the ritualist members that leveled their toons for guild group runs.

I have this issue... is this already solved?

Same issue, thought to get more rarity with rabbit talismans in Morior Invictus, but lost all elemental resistance in the process. I wish this issue were fixed and the socketed talisman were counted in the "per socket filled" text of Morior Invictus. Or at least this text must be changed not to be misleading if that is intended.
