Locked Atlas Node

As you can see the green node is connected to "Trenches". But "Trenches" is still locked. I cannot use a waystone on it, which should be possible.
After I finished the nodes south from it, it became accessible then. So it might be the case that it doesn't recognise certain connected nodes.
