Lag/freeze results in escape not pausing and dying without dropping to 0 hp (lost hardcore)

I had a lagspike / freeze screen that resulted in a bug where the game did not pause. When i realised what had happened i exited to character selection.

In this period my HP never went below zero nevertheless i still died and lost hardcore status on this character.

/deaths does have 1 death
