Challenge to GGG

Play a melee evasion char, ur not allowed to use armor or energy shield at all, every other defense layer is ok, just main evasion with no armor or ES.

The balance for evasion is worse than it was, im running 80% evasion 83% deflection pre-buff, i can barely reach 2k life without dropping to under 60% evasion. Not having a big enough life pool to survive WHEN i get hit, is fucking ridiculous.

Also, how the fuck am i supposed to survive the puddle these abyss monsters drop when i cant fucking see it, ever, and by the time i notice my inevidable fucking death,? i hit my 16 div instant flask and nothing fucking happens so i rack up another pointless fucking death, lose my XP and time.... ESPECIALLY on deli maps, where everything is the same fucking shit color?????


Energy shield can rack up to well over 10k, allowing u to survive 99% of hits in the game and shrug them off.

Armor's new buff puts it in an amazing spot giving them double damage reduction.

Evasion scales with level, making my evasion % go down whenever i level up, and still giving every single mob the opportunity to 1 tap me at any point. This is not true for the other 2 main defenses.

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM, WE, THE COMMUNITY, HAVE BEEN SCREAMING AND BEGGING FROM SEASON 1

We, as melee evasion chars, in the game right now, need 3-4k health to even have a chance for end game.

There's to much focus in this game on insta-ing everything before it gets a chance to recognize your on the screen.. THIS IS BAD, LET US COUNTERPLAY INSTEAD OF DEATH!

I'm currently playing full eva + deflection range char (and not really playing safe, even got close combat on my explosive grenade)

10K eva (50%)
6229 deflection (43%)
3175 hp
16% recoup dmg as life
-65% bonus critical damage
75% all res

80k dps aoe for insta packs (the first defensive layer lol)

Actually can't die on a T15 + 1 level 6 mods without triple damage mods

Atm for me the issue of melee is can't hit while moving.

Effin A man. That's alot. Never in my life have I gone pure evasion in poe though, so forgive my lack of empathy.

In hc 80% evade with nothing else has always been a 100% rip back to standard.

Also evasion scales with accuracy not level. Tooltip is just an estimate. Blind is your friend.

As an armour user it doesn’t matter for the puddle by the way

It’s a ground degen dot. It’s not a hit.

Might find help in the build section for something like this though


I realize the degen is a little strong. The only people currently not worrying about it is hard es stackers or ranged users though. Armour has no effect on puddles

If u're going pure Eva/deflection, 2k life isn't that low. I hit 2k life at lvl 90 as a Pathfinder for example.
When u're running all slots with T1 life mods u're looking at ~2,5k life at 90+.

Tbh I wouldn't ever go pure Eva as melee. Eva/ES is the way to go there.

I hit just under 2300 life with full T1 life mods, im even running T1 health and T1 health% on my neck, and with 2300 life, i could barely hit 60% evasion.

Im playing Acolyte of Chayula on this char, no ES, no armor, leech chaos cold evasion, i dont need a build guide or help, this is just a problem. I have 1800 hours in PoE2, ive played every ascendancy/build type now except amazon and smith of katava, and yes, this is a problem, everybody knows it and has been vocal about it since day 1.

It is what it is, the game is still amazingly fun and this is just feedback so it gets to a spot where this isnt the biggest flaw in the game.

Also, currently

I hit just under 2300 life with full T1 life mods

I have unbending nods on my amulet (+3% hp)
And invested gem enthusiast for (5%hp)
Also bought a timeless jewel +8life small nods +3%strength big nods

Can get even more hp by replacing my flat hp runes on armor by the +3% max life runes.

Yea when you said “I barely reach 2k” I thought it you meant you are struggling to get to that number or right on it but it seems you’re a bit over which is good


Yea idk the mod is a bit much for sure I don’t disagree

Pretty sure Mark can finish that challenge he was always Top 10 in POE 1 as well lol aka Neon_GGG always top 10 in HC ladder.

Zaccie can finish that challenge as well.

Octavian streams and can finish that challenge.

You need to try harder if u wanna try to shame the core devs lol
