Thoughts after 350h
Before I start the rant. What an absolute beast of a game this has the potential to become. To all the developers and people behind this game, thank you!
As the titel suggest I am now 350h in to the game (if that is alot or not is not my point here, just an indication on how much time I have played) and I must say with 0.3.0 the game is amazing in a lot of ways, the crafting is so satisfying and rewarding at the same time and just the thought that this system can and probably will be even further expanded on sends shivers down my spine. Really amazing job. The campaign has also gotten way better with the introduction of act IV. I do believe that crafting once again adds a level of satisfaction even in low levels. Adding tiers to crafting materials was a game winning move 100%. There are however some negative feedback I would like to mention as well though. General stability issues are quite common, mostly with abyss in the mix I can easily go down to single digits fps, which feels quite bad. Could probably upgrade my system a bit. But espacially on abyss its really noticeable. And the endgame mapping system is absolute thrash, running around in circles avoiding to use "good" maps for hours just to find a perfect place with 3+ towers and a corruption zone to get maybe 5 "good" maps to run with all the juice to waystones and tablets there is. To then get a dc mid map and lose it completey feels absolutely garbage. This when we had the absolute best endgame an arpg has ever seen in poe1 is a bit sad. I really hope we can cook something here, and i do not think "fixing" the current system is a good idea, we need to rethink it all from scratch or just throw in the system from poe1 if we cant figure something out. Other than this as mentioned earlier the game is about to become a real beast in the market and I cant wait for patch 1.0.0 Best Regards Last bumped18 сент. 2025 г., 12:20:47

when you dc mid-map you log back in where you left off

That has certainly not been to case for me, if that is because of something I do wrong or not I dont know.

I personally like the endgame mapping system but the abyss/delirium performance issues are way too annoying at this point. If you're running a delirium map with abyss your graphic card is cooked.
I don't understand why they don't implement a merging system in their game. If there is more than x amount of same type of a unit (let's say more than 10), merge them into a higher tier one with much more hp and damage and keep your fps higher. You can even say let's merge normals to magic if 24 or more abyss OR let's merge 8 magic into a rare one etc. I think abyss and delirium need this. Maybe breach too. Neden yaşıyorsun?

Yeah endgame makes everyone I know quit. You jump from t2-3 maps to t15 because there is no meaningful difference between the tiers, get a few items after doing slow t15s, farm t15.
Towers feel like work, you suffer through bad maps for a few good ones? Good maps do not feel good because you know that shortly after you are back to slogging through the atlas. Maps should feel good, always, just press and play and it''s juiced up or whatever, no additional player input outside of atlas tree and waystones. I'm ignoring the citadel spawns, hundreds of maps to maybe see one? I know people at level 97 with 0 spawns so far, casuals will not even play more than 50 maps this needs serious readjustments, you cannot expect people to play 10hours a day for a bit of progress. |

Endgame is currently a major work in progress for me in PoE 2. And I'd rather play the campaign 25 times than spend even 5 hours in the endgame. The current endgame of PoE 2 is perfection in repetition and imperfection. And im not a zombie.^^ But if i play the campaign 25 times im maybe also a zombie, lol.
