Trial of Sekhemas = I feel I'm not good enough to play this game I guess

I'm sure this isn't anything people haven't read before, but I'm going to say it anyway. First time around I did 2 of them with my witch, and it was a lot easier to complete them. This time around I REALLY wanted to play warrior. Keeping my honor up through boss fight isn't easy for me and I lose, and it leads me to think "I'm not good enough for your game I guess".

Yeah? Go improve yourself then.

I had an easier time doing sekhemas on my warrior than I did my merc. I actually specifically made my warrior to see if sekhema was as bad as people said it was with it, and its not.

ZiggyD made a good video about Sekhemas. Also, if you wait until the end of Act 2 to ascend, it's easier than trying as soon as you get the barya.

Let's not act like losers, just rush through the trial, avoid being in contacts with monsters unless you have to or simply come back later when you have more HP, at some point you will outscale the content.

just go farm levels/currency/gear?

I like sekhemas but hate trials of chaos - too much waiting on/for platforms to play the damn game lol

personally, I skip my 2nd ascendancy until I can find a barya to go back to sekhemas to get my 2nd/3rd. It's also not required to get your first ascendancy before you leave act 2 for example. it's not locked behind anything really except player power and it sounds like you're just not ready yet.

also, when you're in there, make sure to hit every chest to get more relic drops to buff honor resistance. you can backtrack in any room you wish after you've completed it. The best strategy is to do the time crystal one, finish it, go back and hit like ~10 chests that are in the corners of the room.

if you fail, at least it will be dumb easy next time you go in.

I play a Warrior (SSF-only) with a meme spec I built for myself. Probably fewer than 1% run this spec each league, and I’ve completed all the Trials.


Here’s where I think you’re falling short:



You don’t focus enough on relics and the benefits they provide.
With each new Trial you complete, more sockets unlock at the start of a run, letting you use more relics.
Prioritise Honor Resistance relics and cap at 75%.
Then focus on increasing your Honor cap; the rest is up to you, more defence or more life?
Pay attention to Minor and Major Boons.
Collect Waters (the main currency) and spend them at every vendor you find.

Trial of Sekhemas is another system you need to repeat few times to have any success in it, e.g Where do relics mainly drop? in the trials, which means is it intended to be farmed first.
