Game freeze and Map layout reset

The game occasionally freezes completely for a duration of 5/10 seconds.
when the game responsive again, it appears to reload or recompile shaders, and the map and minimap are reset. I was having this issue pretty constantly and switching to vulkan stopped it for me.
