PS5 - Unable to recieve invitation to join party

Since the latest update we are no longer to play as a party.
We have been playing as a party since early access came out.
However, now I send an "Invite to party" to the other player and nothing happens.
Both players can see that the other player is online and send "whispers" to them, but unable to get together as a party.

Been having the same issue. Seems random, sometimes works, most of the time it doesnt.
Tried rebooting the PS5 which has worked maybe 3/4 of the time but not consistnantly.
Hoping the is a fix (or patch) soon.

Same problem. Brother and I can’t party up. Restarts aren’t helping. Tweaked privacy settings of ps5 to wide open. No dice. Somethings up. Please advise GGG

To create a party, I found that if I start a Public Party, then my friend can join the party, then the party leader can change the party to a "Private Party".

This is how we are getting around the issue.
