Spoiler ahead: Shrike Island secret Quest.

Shrike island secret quest is actually simple, you have to click 666 shrike eggs. Can’t be destroyed with effect have to be clicked. Meaning you have to literally kill packs intentionally with specific spells in specific positions to optimize how many you can click per run.

P.S. there’s something weird about the base white item: Morning Star. I can’t put my finger on it but it seems weird. Perhaps a message inside a name idk. I’m just a guy. Maybe it’s just that distinct sound it makes that’s throwing me off.

Start collecting weirdly named white bases, bit of advice. Or don’t. I’m not your parent.

Anyway not to give too many spoilers out but, Poe1 has a bunch of secret quest items no one knows what to do with or doesn’t want to publically share the info. If you think that’s any different here, you are mistaken.

But I’ll do my best to steer you in the right direction. Together we are united. In small conclaves where knowledge is hoarded and not shared, that is the most loathsome state. Imagine the further innovation that could already exist and understanding the general player base could have. But alas, greed has gotten the better of seemingly everyone who has figured out one of GGG’s riddles.

Don’t rush through act 4 though. Journeys end is aptly named. You might need that shooting star metal but you don’t need to let that crone out with it :,)

I see you noticed the bit about the shooting star metal and silver coin.

I’m surprised no one is asking “why”.

Well isn’t it obvious why, 99.9999% of players will just cash those quest items in because they think it’s the correct path. A majority of the remaining .0001% will perhaps hold them for a bit then give up, but deep down know there’s more to it.

A sliver of that .0001% will hold them and just not complete on various characters to experiment.

The biggest thing is, if there is a secret quest in act 4, it’s mirroring the secret quest in act 1.

There is a conversation file group that you can only have access to on the ship in act 4 at kedge bay I believe.

Infact you are told there is a quest to talk to said person in kedge bay. But no quest is ever triggered by doing so.

Ergo that talking to the specific person on the ship in the location you are told is giving you information about a secret quest.

But I’ve said too much and made this rather simple for all of you.

Rather sad how faithless the community is even with the secrets being quite obvious.

I didn’t want to give the pure juice away until everyone got a few days taste of what I had to go through.

So to be clear, you're saying you've found secret quests in act 1 and act 4 that are centered around quest items that you don't immediately turn in and instead go somewhere else with them to trigger hidden easter-egg encounters/dialogue, yes?

So in act 4 there's the Verisium, the shark fin, some treasure map pieces, the silver coin from Eye of Hinekora, and a pearl - which of those do you need and where do you go? Somewhere in Kedge bay? An NPC appears?

And what about act 1? Is it related to the fact that you can go all the way to the Red Vale and bring back the runes to Renly where he'll forge the nails without you necessarily finding the tree yet? (And therefore having no reason for anyone to forge nails for anything...)

Sounds like you're being cryptic to kind of not spoil things but it also seems like you might be making it all up lol.

Why would you turn symbols of heroic character traits into symbols of destruction? For what purpose? And who stands to gain?

It’s almost as if you can craft a sword right now…. Under the right conditions.

I remember some psychopath babbling about crafting Excalibur around .1 release…. Who was that guy again?

One thing I’ve realized is time travel may be necessary to “complete” the secret quest. No telling where it starts in act 1-3.

But act 4 is so obvious bros.

This is funny, because today I just started levelling up a new character. Took the nails for "Secrets in the Dark" quest from father blacksmith, gone to the tree, where "Sin" is "hanging".

I was busy with something on my desk and heard Una saying "Don't worry—the Tree itself will not be harmed. What are you waiting for?" This literally reminded me Nessa from Lioneye's Watch:

Sometimes I'm missing these details because I hate playing campaign A LOT after playing multiple rpg campaigns more than 15 years. I think it should be skippable but obviously that's just my opinion.

It’s not skippable because 0 people have finished the campaign correctly.

Maybe once you finish campaign the correct way you’ll get access to a skip button.

All I know is the devs better be taking PvP seriously because if they can make secret quests like this then they can cook well designed PvP.

Yes the secret quest is a form of PvP, but it’s not the same. For example, how many players are even engaging the secret quest, pretty sure it’s just me out here hunting for it from what I can tell. That’s a lower population count than PvP players. Just something to take into account, and by no means do I mean stop making secret quests. You just need to jump start the interest in them a bit. Try making a statement like we aren’t saying they aren’t there.

Normally I would agree with the Diablo esq secret quest design of “deny that it exists at every corner” to keep the integrity of the challenge. However the secret quests you guys are cooking are rather difficult even for experienced players and minds, so I think your community could use a little faith jumpstart.

Just my opinion but I bet if the average player was aware of secret quests existing that they would try harder to figure them out. Which means more engagement, more community building, better foundation for the future.

Same exact argument applies to PvP, which is crazy because technically secret quests are a form of PvP but they are obviously entirely different beasts.
