Stuck in Act 4

I'm currently in Act 4, during the main quest "The Search", I already have all the pieces of the weapon but the game tells me to keep searching the islands. I think it's because I went back to Kingsmarch after defeating the boss on the Isle of Shrikes before speaking to the Hooded One and now he won't spawn again even after defeating the boss another time. I noticed the effects of the animation of him spawning (the smoke) but I can't talk to him and now I'm stuck. Anybody has a solution?
