Homogenization Omen gone?
|
Q&A Jonathan stated they omen of Homogenization is going away. That's crazy, can't they just rework some of the tags if they want to prevent +3 melee amulets being too easy to craft?
I quite literally crafted and sold hundreds of mirror tier items this season, and I can say that omen helped mid lvl / entry level crafters far more then pinnacle crafters like me. Taking it away just removes a lot of the fun of crafting and forces back the old gambling method to making good items. I don't see its removal on the patch notes, however Q&A made it pretty clear so I am just confused. Last bumped4 дек. 2025 г., 23:43:21

The problem seems less the omen, and some of the ez clap +skill lvl formulas. I would rather see the mods go away than the omen. The omen creates a cool mini game of tracking mod tags. The +skill lvs mod is annoying in the same way anything is when it feels mandatory.

Would be disappointed to see it removed. I learned a lot about mods, weights, tags, and more due that item being added.
Is the problem really the omen? And not some of more pure deterministic formulas that people discovered? Surely it would be better to break some of the crazier formulas by moving/adding mods or tags, rather than scrap the omen entirely. Removing it seems a little reactionary. I hope they take another look and determine if the problem is the omen itself, or overlooked 100% deterministic formulas. |

Seems dumb to remove something that a large portion of the playerbase used to craft their own moderately decent stuff instead of just buying it on the market. Plus, as Firetoad mentioned, crafting your own items has taught a lot of folks information about the game that gets them more invested in it.
Crafting is what everyone liked about 0.3. This 0.4 removes that, doesn't replace endgame as promised, and delivers a very slow looking combo-heavy Druid class. What is the point of playing this league? The "story" and temple that is a combination of some of the worst PoE1 had to offer? |
