0.4.0 Game direction seems like a win to me.

As title says, it is refreshing to see a bit more changes to the desired slower and meaningful combat that they are trying to push.
New class, skills and support gems, new weapon classes, descent balance changes and majority of the skills buffed. I do not understand the negative feedback and push from other people to just copy POE1 endgame. The endgame chase of doing X amounts of maps per minute or your total gaming experience to be how much divines per hour you can squeeze feels terrible. Getting back to the roots, incentivizing build making, exploring and just enjoying the game is a great direction. If I want to blast maps and mindlessly grind hordes of mobs I have POE1. I want POE2 to excel at boss fights, hard encounters and satisfying gameplay. I do not agree with the complete removal of some of the best omens even for casuals to craft with. This seems to be an issue with the game design where GGG is fixated on the idea that the top crafters will make BIS items, thus completely removing the option for the average one. I agree. I'm actually excited to see monster pack size go down, but individual monsters being stronger and having better loot. That sounds fun.

I'm excited to try it out too. This is a change I've long imagined being one that's good for the game, so it's going to be interesting to see if I'm right or if I'm just talking out of my ass.

" THe progression seems fine and all games need itemization. No game is perfect but GGG made POE 1 and its a good game. They are cooking with this one and its time to let them sit back and let them cook. POE 2 is for a different playerbase. If you think POE 1 is better...go play it. Its literally live right now and a new patch was just made. No need to sit here and cry about POE 2 and how POE 1 is better when you can literally play it instead of complaining. People became so spoiled, this type of negativity is in a lot of games. I play a lot of Darktide, players there are like - "Give us a AdMech or riot". Players in Resident Evil 9 want Leon or riot. I understand rioting if the company takes part in shady practices. The wrong with GGG here is that they are talking to much and players took endgame changes as 100% promise. The game is growing at a descent pace, let them cook. Also these games take a lot of effort to make, dev are not robots. They have lives, families, hobbies etc. So appreciate what you are given in the eve of Christmas.

I was ready to give up on the game before I've seen the density change. There's still hope it seems. I highly doubt it will be enough but it is a clear good sign of the game moving in a healthy direction.
Scaling actual difficulty and not just how many monsters there are on the screen is the way to move forward for a large variety of reasons, including visual clarity of which many complained of. "Sigh"
