Dominance of elements and lack of freedom

As I can see, cnahgeling forms are bind to each element.

Question: Why?

This is obvious concept of meta-skills that player need to fill with something. What if I want to play chaos, poisonous form? Or true physical carnage werewolf? Or, ok, cold-bear if hipotetical I was fan of elements? And you bind it to one direction. Ok, one main direction (conversion excluded)

Where is that freedom that makes PoE - a PoE? I very love PoE, respect GGG for your work, guys... But I dont feel so much free in PoE2 as I felt it in PoE1. Make options to combine things, mix it.

I was also expecting wolves as a separate skill... Like, feral minions... Why only necromancy?

I understand that my expectations are my problem, but still.
