Chronomancer - Sands of Time should be Skill Speed

Hi GGG,

I mentioned it before and i guess i will just try to keep this topic in place:
Please consider changing the Sands of Time Ascendancy Node to give Skill Speed instead of Cast Speed. It would open up more build diversity! I really enjoy playing my melee Chronomancer and it would be just a great option.

Deadeye's tailwind for example gives skill speed which is great, so you can also profit if you decide to make a caster deadeye. Just give other ascendancies the same treatment so we can live our poe dream of build customization.

On a sidenote: I do like the changes to Inevitable Agony in this patch! Especially ignoring the curse limit makes a lot of sense.

100% agree 'Sands Of Time' should provide skill speed instead of cast speed.

Being cast speed really hinders the possibilities for using this node from a gameplay standpoint, and makes far less sense thematically than skill speed as well.

Regarding 'Inevitable Agony' (Only mentioning this because OP did), it's a cool idea but practically useless for anything but bossing or exceptionally strong rares, making it a painful two points to allocate. In reality it also isn't exciting or fun to use(like all curses currently), unlike other ascendancy skills both within the Chronomancer ascendancy and others. In my humble opinion it needs to either act as a cull if the stored damage is greater than the targets remaining life + ES, or be replaced with something else entirely.

The buffs to 'Inevitable Agony' in this leagues patch notes don't fix the actual issue with the skill itself.

I agree with that.


On top of it, I would like that they revert Hammer of the god costing glory instead of a CD. I guess it was done because of chrono specifically and to me it doesn't make sense. Every ascendency being able to play any skill is one of the core concept of PoE, and it feels like with PoE 2 they try to railroad us as much as possible on what they want us to play, limiting build diversity.
