Worst feature in any game "Gender Locked Classes"

This has been posted a few times, but yes, some see it as a minor issue.
The locked gender for each class is just so bad!! One of the worst things in any that has main RPG elements in them. Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 added the option to choose the gender. Diablo 4 even added some minor customizations. But just to be able to choose gender is such a big bonus! I know for some it's a big selling point! Last bumped8 дек. 2025 г., 08:24:04

The majority doesn't care. You don't see your char up close 99% of the time anyway.

This wouldn't make any sense. All of the characters have unique dialogues and stories that make them fit in as part of the world building.
And as the other guy mentioned, you don't even have basically any close up vision of your character anyways. |

No one really cares..... This isn't like a character driven game where people play dress up and have fantasies about saving the world cause they're invested. Most people couldn't tell you the name of the world or the places and people in it as that's all skipped over after you did it the first time. It just not important to the reason people play POE or arpg in general. It's a game that's played for 2-3 weeks every 4 months with throw away characters. A traditional story driven rpg set in Wraeclast would be cool for sure but that's not what this is.

So since you consider this so important I have to ask. What do you consider less important? See this is the thing people don't get when they demand things in a game. Coding isn't magically instantaneous.
So if you want this. Include a list of things that are planned to add to the game that you consider less important. That GGG needs to put less time into so you can have your request. This way everybody can get behind you on the specifics. We can say yes! Delay adding to the endgame to get us both sexes for every character. Delay adding the 3rd ascendancy to every character so you can have both sexes. Delay adding the shadow and templar. Delay adding more skill gems. Delay designing new uniques. I could keep going but I bet the overwhelming majority are screaming HELL NO right now. This is why we don't care. Let GGG take the easier path here so we can have more actual content. |

"Worst Feature" is hilarious. Like others have stated, where does this lie in the priority list? Literally all gameplay systems would rank higher. I would say even story and lore tidbits rank higher. Play the game and bring up an AI rendition of how you think your character should look on the 2nd monitor as a temporary(10-ish years) solution.
