Can we please get Merit of Service back in the game??

Been asking for months, this is a very important item to many support builds and for team play. It's been disabled due to a bug since forever, can we please get it back this league? If it's gone from the game forever, then please just let us know that too so we can stop hoping.

I am new and really got excited about how group play works in poe, and for group play to lose blockbot over a single shield with no word on if we are going to get it back at leaguestart has been so demotivating for me.
