Mark Abilities change rant

So, Freezing and Voltaic mark will now give an Extra damage buff when you Freeze/Electrocute Marked target. Aoe explosion gone.
And here is what my problem is: Hand of Chayula. It's one of VERY FEW Chaos melee abilities, if not the only one. It's purpose is to support the build with Melee Curse and Mark application. When played Chonk and going for Chaos archetype, you could've used it as it had AoE damage. Now you have to freeze/electrocute to proc the bonus. Original sin builds cannot use these marks now. TLDR: When building full chaos Original Sin, you cannot meet Marks new requirements, effectively making the only chaos melee ability useless for such builds. At least for mapping. PS. I'm guessing they didn't want the wolfs cross slash to have that interaction, don't know why it doesn't seem that powerful. Builds that reapply marks alot lose that function now, hand of chayula and deadeyes called shots could have been fun with it.

with the lineage gem chaos will be allowed to freeze but for a low level player it has effectively killed hand of chayula.
Not to mention they need to change volatility for acolyte of chayula to make it more useful and less convoluted |
