💬 [Idea] Druid “Primordial Golemcaller” Third Ascendancy

Hey,

I’ve been really into all the Druid news for Path of Exile 2 lately, and it gave me an idea for a third Druid ascendancy.

Just to be clear up front:

Right now in PoE 2 we only officially have two Druid ascendancies: Oracle and Shaman.

Druid itself is a Strength / Intelligence hybrid class built around shapeshifting via Talisman weapons and nature-themed magic.

PoE 2 also already has the Elemental Infusions system.

What follows is just my fan concept

💠 Concept: Primordial Golemcaller (Druid Ascendancy Idea)

My idea is a Druid ascendancy called Primordial Golemcaller – a Druid who specializes in elemental golems and uses the existing Elemental Infusions system to power them up.

The fantasy is pretty simple:

You play a Druid who focuses on elemental spells + golems.

Your golems are themed around fire, cold, lightning, etc.

Instead of being a generic minion build, the whole thing is built around synergy with Elemental Infusions that already exist in PoE 2.

⚙️ How it would interact with Elemental Infusions (idea)

Since PoE 2 already has Elemental Infusions as a core mechanic, my thought is:

When you generate Fire / Cold / Lightning Infusions with your skills, those Infusions would also buff your elemental golems of the same type.

Picking up an Infusion could give your matching golem extra damage, a temporary new attack, or some defensive bonus.

If you have different elemental golems out at the same time, you’d be encouraged to juggle different Infusions to keep all of them powered up.

So instead of Infusions being “just for your character’s damage”, this ascendancy would turn them into a bridge between you and your golems.

🎮 Playstyle fantasy

Again, this is all just my idea, but the playstyle I imagine is:

You’re a Druid caster using existing elemental / nature skills.

You also have elemental golems out as your main companions.

As you play, you naturally generate Elemental Infusions with your skills.

You move through them to pick them up, and those Infusions:

buff your own spells, and

empower your golems of that element.

So it would feel like a hybrid of spellcaster and golem summoner.

⭐ Example Ascendancy Node Ideas for Primordial Golemcaller

• Elemental Bond

Your elemental golems deal increased damage and have increased life.
You gain a small bonus to the same elemental damage type as your active golem.

• Infusion Guidance

When you pick up an Elemental Infusion, your matching elemental golem gains a temporary bonus to attack or cast speed.

• Golem Resilience

Your golems have increased resistance to elemental damage and recover a small amount of life when you use a skill that matches their element.

• Primal Instincts

While you control at least one elemental golem, your elemental skills gain increased cast speed or damage.

• Dual Command

You can summon an additional elemental golem of a type you already control.
(This does not allow multiple different golem types unless you choose to do so.)

• Keeper of Embers / Frost / Storm

Pick one of the three (like minor branches):
Fire Golems gain increased area damage
Cold Golems gain improved defensive utility
Lightning Golems gain increased speed and shock effect

• Living Elements

Elemental skills generate temporary Golemite Fragments (mini-shards of their element)
These fragments orbit your main Golems, empowering them with charge stacks

• Primordial Awakening

+1 Maximum Golem of each element

Significant increased base elemental damage for Golems

• Avatar of the Primordial Earth

Your Golems can fuse when their domains overlap with Infusions

Creates either:

Dual-Essence Golems (Fire+Cold, Fire+Lightning, Cold+Lightning)

or the Primal Mega Golem when all three elements are active

Hybrid Golems gain new mixed elemental attacks and empowered effects

What do you think? Would you play a Druid like this?

Maybe together we can create a great Golemmaster !
