Semi-hardcore mode

For players who find hc too complicated and softcore too boring, I suggest slightly different rules of the game. You will have to control the performance yourself, GGG has nothing to do with it, but they work — the game becomes deeper and more interesting.
Next, I'll write down the motivation, but if you're too lazy to read it, then you can skip and look at the rules.

Motivation:

I played hc 90% of the time in poe2. The oldest char on hc is Frost sorc 90 lvl. I could have gone on, but I got tired, so I went and purposefully died. In total, I have more than 15 hc chars in patches from 0.1 to 0.3 (dead, of course).

On softcore I closed all the content, but by force, in order to better understand how to play hc. I find the hc mode to be deep and interesting, but too random. From a certain level of knowledge of the game, you can no longer die from a wrong decision, but you can still die from a bug, provider tricks, or just a few crits in a row.
It's like playing cards, where if you win, you get ice cream, and if you lose, you lose your house. It tickles your nerves, but your brain screams that you're suffering from bullshit.
Hc forces you to skip dangerous and interesting content in favor of safe and bland, and that's its main problem.

Softcore is just boring. If you don't set yourself the goal of taking 100 (a rather strange goal, as for me), then there is simply no penalty for death on it. You can die on the Arbiter at least 30 times, and still end up killing him. It's dumb, and it's very bland to play.
And if the goal on hc is worthy — not to die as long as possible, then the goal on softcore is to farm N divines per hour in order to buy items in order to farm N + Y divines per hour.

Well, that. That's why I came up with self-restraint. It's like playing Dark Souls, increasing only dexterity, or using only melee attacks. You're responsible for your own fun.

Rules:

1. SSF or SF mode. If you are playing with friends, then SSF is not suitable, but you can simply not use trading and currency exchange. You can only transfer items that are dropped together.
2. Death penalty = skip the zone. This means that if you die on a boss in the acts, then you start a new zone with that boss and go to it again. If you died on a map in endgame, then skip this map (you always think you have 1 portal). If you died on a pinackle boss, you skip the boss. That is, on the boss, or, say, in a Simulacrum, you only have 1 attempt.
3. You cannot use pause + return to the city. If you are surrounded, then accept death with pride.
4. At the beginning of the race, its goal is determined. For example, to clean up all the content on max grade. You can also take 100, but that's the goal, I don't like it, especially on the ssf. You can do something else. Upon reaching the goal, the race on this character is considered completed, you can start a new one, or go play another game.

The rules, with the exception of clause 2., also apply to hc.

And most importantly, it works. The game combines the advantages of ssf, hc and softcore. So if you're bored in a future league, just try it.
