Cant't equip curses/spells with talisman

I really wanted to make a blood mage/bleed/cold WW build, but doesn't look like that's going to be possible.

You can still use spells/curses with a spear on a witch. A spear equippped and nothing else (no focus or scepter), and, can use melee skills with the spear too.

Anyone far enough along know if you can throw in an aura into blasphemy with the talisman?

Updating this after progressing further on the druid. Turns out you can throw a curse into blasphemy and it works as a WW.

Back to making a blood mage/cold/bleed build. I suspect it will be not as good as I hope. Just wanting to try to make something unconventional work outside of meta crap.
