Volcano + Wildshards Support

I'm trying to play Stormweaver Volcano, using wildshards support.






Nowhere on Volcano's gem does it imply this wouldn't work.




The support will only ever trigger the extra 8 projectiles on the first eruption, and then never again for the rest of the duration.

Is this intended?

Similarly, multishot support triggers 3 projectiles for every launch of the Volcano, which led me to believe wildshards would have a chance to proc randomly for the whole duration too.
