How to refresh filters at league start ?

Hello everyone, I am still relatively new to the game and filtering. I have now loaded some filters as described by following them and then loading them on the PS5, but still in the last season. With the new one, I'm sure some new items have been added. Do I have to unfollow and refollow the filters to have the latest version? I've read that they are updated every 4 hours. Or is it enough if I press the reload button in the game options menu from time to time?
