Herald of ice - Not usable with current Weapon Set Settings - talisman

I was using this yesterday just fine on druid using a talisman.

Currently unable to use it. I have tried swapping weapons, tried different weapons. Nothing works - says "Not usable with current Weapon Set Settings"

I did spec into Lord Of the Wilds - not sure if this broke something, but I have tried to spec out of it and still unable to use herald of ice.

This doesn’t only happen to Herald of Ice — it happens to any meta gem or any gem that requires Spirit. What happened in your case is that the gem interacted with the talisman and it essentially “broke”.

I tried many different things to fix it, and I only managed to fix it once. It happened with Mirage Archer: I couldn’t use it for the exact same reason you can’t. I tried everything — even respec’ing passive skills — and I spent over 500k gold trying to fix it, but nothing worked.

The only time it actually worked was when I switched my talisman for a bow, so Mirage Archer worked temporarily. After that, I changed something on the passive skill tree to make it usable again, and the bug immediately came back.

Creating a new gem from scratch works, but upgrading your current gem to a higher tier or corrupting it does NOT fix it.

So for now, all you can really do is wait for it to be fixed and hope it randomly “bugs out” and lets you use it again. I’m almost certain this is related to the talisman, because both active gems I had at the time broke and are now permanently unusable.

I rely a lot on this gem as well. I did find a temporary workaround: switching to a lower-level version of the gem and activating it first. However, this doesn’t work with Herald of Ash.

Got the same problem, with both my auras. Cant get them to work whatever I try. New gems probably work but dont have any to try with right now.

Happened to me too, right after i was playing with Hysseg's claw and wolfpack perk.
