Accelerated growth is not triggered when the plant is cast by totem

I have tried having my totem cast entangle and then water the plant with thunderstorm, but it does not proc the exploding flowers at all. The skill description does not seem to limit this interaction. It was even showcased as the totem build in GGG druid build video.

Used supports are: branching fissures and accelerated growth.

One more thing to add. I have tested the node Boundless Growth - Plants have a 20% chance to immediately overgrow. When self-cast, this triggers the accelerated growth support and triggers the spores. Totems do not trigger the spores this way either.
