Sacrificial Heart

I see a bunch of threads about the heart but none with my specific problem I don't think. I got the heart and dagger as usual, went over and stabbed it, BUT didn't get the passive points!

I've seen some stuff online that says you can reset the instance and just go click the heart in the ground to get them but that hasn't worked.

If anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears. Thanks.
