Rolling Magma Projectile Support Gems Not Working

Nova Projectiles and Ricochet do not work with Rolling Magma at all.

Multishot Adds the 2 projectiles but Nova does nothing and it seems like it is a traditional projectile unlike Lightning Spear so idk why this doesn't work aside from it potentially looking stupid which doesn't seem like a good reason because it's equally as stupid for a bow or crossbow to be shooting behind themselves in a circle

Ricochet is more confusing to me for not working because I was hoping that since Nova doesn't work I could just use Chain support and Ricochet so hitting the many walls in the game wouldn't matter but the projectile just disappears

Rolling Magma was my favorite poe1 skill so I was really hoping to try and replicate a little bit of the power it had as a spell. If I can't even use ricochet on it idk it just feels like a support skill relegated to being a detonator for other stuff. kinda sad
