couple of druid - werewolf form comments
|
general comments:
1. it's kind of annoying that I have to shift out/in of the form when interacting with certain objects and NPCs. honestly I'd be fine with not having more than a werewolf idle animation if thats the reason for it. 2. kind of wish there was a growly filter over the druid's voice when talking in form. I know thats probably not going to happen though. **edit: nvm there IS a filter 3. I desperately need a werejaguar or werehyena skin for the werewolf. I don't have any money to spend but I would find something to sell for one of those- i have a NEED general fangirlling: 1. I love that yall didn't go with a generic wolf design. both in visuals and sfx. big fan of the monster aspect of werewolves 2. the animations are chef's kiss. the claws causing sparks on the ground and the way the head/fur moves.. I love it all 3. also the little bit of blood when the druid shifts in/out of a form... amazing attention to detail 4. pouncing then cross slashing is SO satisfying good fucking job on the design, guys Последняя редакция: T0RSE#0513. On the topic of 2, there *is* a filter on the Druid's voice when talking in form. It's more of an echo'ey muted filter though, as there isn't really any way to filter a voice to be "growly".That's technologically impossibe.
They'd have to record separate voice lines to add a growly quality, which isn't going to happen as that'd mean every single voice line for every single class would need several versions to account for the possibility that they might use talismans. So it has a to be a filter, and filters can only do so much. |

" ah damn my volume must be too low or speakers too shit. I'll try to listen closer next time I play. thanks for pointing it out! and yeah I figured the growly comment would be impossible to implement.. oh well. the fact that theres any change is awesome! |

I love how werewolf feels, however, it also feels bad that what feels like the correct choice in act 1 is to just use the staff auto attack and spells, besides pounce, I'm way safer and do the same damage, just using the staff aa and eruption/slam totem.
attacking with the werewolf feels like a mistake most of the time, even if I'm enjoying the way it works, the squishyness makes it feel bad to do all the fancy stuff when I could just click on the boss with the staff attack and wait to beat it way easier and in basically the same amount of time because even if I have a bit more damage on werewolf, I have to dodge more. I bought a talisman to force werewolf when I could've just easily pushed through with a staff I got from the vendor. (besides the lack of defense/regen, I really enjoy it) |

" ah yeah I didn't want to comment on the actual mechanics/how it plays yet because I'm still progressing through the acts. I'm also dying really quickly to certain things... but I was hoping it would even out by time I start mapping or whatever the end game is called in 2 |
