thoughts and opinions on Disciple of Varashta new ascendancy

feels kinda weird tbh. the fact that we get a "minion" ascendancy on sorc who is missing the early minion damage nodes feels kinda bad.
for how it plays. first off the tooltips and skill description/setup is an absolute mess. having one set of support gems tied to 2~4 different skills (atleast for ruzhan idk why he is the outlier) and its not clear on all the tags the skills have and it just feels very unpolished. Ruzhan the blazing sword: for starters i think that his attack that auto triggers when using a skill (once every 4 sec) should either a) not require a skill use and just attack any target nearby when off cd b) trigger when you use other minion command spells because right now its really awkward to use a ton of command spells and then also try to weave in regular spells His brand skill has a very low damage value and has a stack limit of 3 on an individual target, its byfar his worst ability and i dont see much use for it. Fury feels like his 2nd weakest. its projectile "shotgun" is too wide to actually have all projectiles hit a target outside of large ones, it doesnt innately pierce or explode which means if there is any smaller enemies in the way they will absorb a ton of it, but the biggest drawback is how slow it is and the fact that it doesnt have any tracking. it takes like 1~2 seconds of a charge up and its very easy for him to miss with... the other 2 spells he has i think are great. i dont really have complaints with them. Kelari the Tainted Sands: he seems okay, can thankfully either use armor break with him and other minions or convert a bunch of his damage to chaos or lightning. Brutalitys damage numbers are kinda low and it feels somewhat slow to cast Malediction. imo this skill feels awkward. it does good damage but requires corpses which is annoying in boss fights, and again requires an input. this one really feels like it would be better if the beetles would just go auto explode on nearby enemies and if they were just generated passively over time. judgement is just way to slow to be useful fullstop. rarely have time to sit and charge in endgame its just not worth it. and keep in mind while youre charging this you cant use any of this spirits other skills... Deception is fine i guess, i dunno its kinda meh. neither good nor bad. I didnt mess around with the barya of navira too much. the ice burst does good damage but pretty low range. The shield regen is strong but boring. rest of the skills looked useless for a minion summoner overall id love to see "usetimes" for skills be reduced. youre commanding a spirit to then do something so you basically have 2 "usetimes" you have to wait for. imo just remove the usetime from the player. Also the worst ascendancy portrait byfar. its hella ugly just my thoughts on it so far. what do you all think? Last bumped13 дек. 2025 г., 23:09:59

" Yep, skipped ascendancy after seeing portrait:) Idc how godly meta it could have been, it looks like yellow lich. In addition, having all those new active skills in addition to your core skills means excessive piano play, again it is enough to put you out of ascendancy regardless of how powerful it is. |
