Too many mandatory NPC dialogues in campaign

Jonathan once mentioned in an interview “if you know what you’re doing then you hardly have to go to town during the campaign”.

But here we are: Renly multiple times, the Hooded one and the girl next to him multiple times, Asala infinite times, etc etc.
We even have to go to the Halani gates just to talk with an NPC to hear that the gates are closed. Like, mate, I already know that the gates will be closed, why do you make me go through the loading screens, walking, listening, more walking and loading screens, just to hear that the gates are closed?

Some of these NPCs also have long animations that are mandatory pauses, such as Lachlan opening the gate.

Can we get rid of a bunch of this?
