Campaign sucks

I just want to play a new character and engage with the league mechanics. I don't want to spend a weekend playing through a campaign I've already finished just to START playing. I mean what is the actual purpose of the campaign in leagues?

We all watch videos and look at guides to help us play the game so we can't really say the campaign helps with that.

I mean this game is obviously superior to D3 and D4 but even blizz let you skip the campaign. Even your friends or communities can powerlevel you.

I'm not saying the quality of the campaign is bad. It just isn't necessary and should be severely shortened or just allow a campaign skip in leagues.
