The damage we're taking from trash mobs doesn't feel tuned properly.

I have tons of armour, capped resistances, 150%+ of armour affecting elemental damage, shaman adaptations.... and white mob projectiles still obliterate my health.

Boss damage is fine. Death effects and stuff like strongbox traps seems fine. Something is definitely wrong with mobs in maps, especially projectile based ones. I don't know if it's because of effectiveness, but if that's the case I would rather have the 40% pack density back.

I also feel like this patch undid .2's changes to mobs chaos damage scaling and stun buildup, because both are back to how they felt at the start of .2 and it's noticeably different from .3.

They changed monsters accuracy in 0.3.1 iirc.
So depending if you played after that or not in 0.3 you may not have noticed the difference?

I do feel like they hit like truck at the moment but i havent been very lucky with my gear and resistances so i'm assuming it's that =)
I will see later on. I'm not on map yet.

You aren't wrong, enemy damage (particularly ranged mobs) do a ton of damage, but we do to. Especially early game I was obliterating enemies and taking huge chunks from a single hit. Archers must die first - always. If you get mini stunned and get hit by 3+ archers/crossbows it will either kill you or almost kill you it seems - especially in co-op.

Boss damage seems higher but there were less 1 shots than before, but they still chunk. Rares with certain mods are super dangerous.

Gear does help, quite a bit, but enemies still hit fairly hard unless you are insanely overstatted for the area.

But it does seem like I hit hard as hell regardless of which act as long as I have gear with like 2 mods, doesn't even have to be good/great gear, just mostly blues with a weapon with a phys rune.

Dots seems faster/do more damage too, *stares angrily at blood pools*.

It's literally my point as well. The damage numbers of trash mobs in maps is not tuned well. I was implying that something may be wrong with effectiveness and it is affecting their damage as well. You can easily tell by how much their ignites are doing.
