Feedback about druid

The Druid in Path of Exile is just bad, and the more you play it, the worse it gets. It’s not even the kind of bad that’s interesting or funny. It’s the boring, frustrating kind that makes you regret your choice every time you log in. You’re constantly aware that you’re working harder for worse results, which is basically the worst feeling an ARPG can give you.

Early game feels weak, mid game feels awkward, and endgame feels straight-up impossible unless you massively overinvest. Clear speed is awful, bosses take forever, and half the time you’re fighting the class itself instead of the enemies. Skills feel slow, unresponsive, and poorly tuned, like none of them were tested properly in real combat scenarios. There’s no moment where the class “comes online” and suddenly feels good. It just stays mediocre all the way through.

Itemization is another mess. The Druid doesn’t scale cleanly with gear, so upgrades feel underwhelming. You get new items and expect a power spike, but instead nothing really changes. Other classes get clear rewards for investing in crit, attack speed, or specific damage types. With Druid, it always feels unclear what you’re even supposed to scale, and whatever you choose ends up being worse than expected.

Synergy is basically nonexistent. Skills don’t complement each other, passives don’t feel impactful, and the whole class lacks a clear identity. Is it a caster? A melee bruiser? A summoner? A shapeshifter? The answer seems to be “kind of all of them, but bad at every single one.” That confusion bleeds into gameplay and makes the class feel directionless and sloppy.

Balance-wise, it’s embarrassing. When you see what other classes can do with less effort, the Druid feels like a mistake that slipped through development. It’s not challenging in a rewarding way. It’s just punishing, slow, and unrewarding.

In the end, playing Druid doesn’t feel like mastering a complex class. It feels like willingly handicapping yourself. There’s no payoff, no power fantasy, no moment where you think “okay, now I get it.” You just grind through disappointment until you finally reroll, wondering why this class was even added in its current state.
No money until, GGG fix melee.

I feel like the problem is that they wanted to MAKE the big thing with them shifting, but because of how they implemented it the whole thing comes off as undercooked and relatively poor.

Also it's clear they forced it out the door in order to gain some favor when we'll see soon enough that people aren't gonna put up with a mediocre weapon type and 2 ascendency's that barely support the style despite it......you know.....being Druids whole identity.
Yep, and you HAVE to stick to the pre designed combos if you want to make it work. And when you do, it's barely good enough to get by while watching deadeyes zoom past you raining gear.

3 deadeye leagues in a row.

I was so hyped for 0.4 but I refuse to play the meta class and I am already so far behind I might quit 3 days into the league. The fact they killed crafting aggravates the issue.
We must be playing very different games because I’ve not bought a single piece of gear and I’ve shredded my entire way through the campaign as bear and now wolf.

i feel like people are playing an entirely different game. like i am doing dumb stuff with the lizardy wolf. (the animation seemed a bit off at first and now i know why. he's a birb, which is just an evolved lizard?) like here i thought i was building my dude to be a Wimp Lo but turns out i was training the chosen one after all?

or maybe they're coming from poe1 and are just not able to adapt to any friction in the gameplay? like i haven't even dabbled into weapon specialization w/ my skill tree, so i don't think that's it. though i expect it to be strong af.
Don't get lost by being so focused on the target that you forget to enjoy your surroundings.

Dont even really need gear with how overtuned everything actually is on druid so far.

People seem to just be struggling only due to factors outside of the class/ascendancy at this point.

Mash the clean
Also the Druid ascendency sucks.

If sanctum was not horrible i was rewarded with a shit ascendency

Dunno what you're complaining about. Early campaign was a bit sluggish (although I can't really tell if that isn't normal, because I've never really played a melee character in PoE2 before) but after I got the first good skills I'm having a blast with the wolf/bear combo I'm playing (no synergies, my ass...). Just finished act 3 and the first 2 ascendancies deathless.

I don't know if that build will carry into endgame, but apparently going for wyvern is an option that definitely works including Arbiter...
I havent play druid, but i play wolf form on an invoker and all i feel is that it's pretty broken lol

I'm actualy trying to enjoy it as much as i can cause it's def gonna be nerf at the end of the season. There no way they keep so much damage in the game xD

You dont have to use every single skills, like the spell + each form + minions.
Just like every other classes you choose the one you enjoy and stick to it. You'll prob have an easier time to scale your damage and get easy powerfull combos.

Can do a second druid with the other skills after.
