Can't use different weapon set for Disciple of Varashta Djinn

You can't set the djinn to only be used by one weapon set without bricking the skills. If you set them to be used by weapon set 2 and cast something with weapon set 1 you can no longer use the djinn and the cooldowns do not restart on swapping back. So how am I supposed to make use of Ruzhan's more damage per damaging skill you've used recently if I am forced to use a sceptre to actually make him stronger.

It literally just disables the ability if you have it set to the weapon set you are not using. Which I understand for spells/minions that come from equipment, but this one is my ascendancy and should always be available. Maybe this is a bug, but if it isn't why would you design it this way.

I believe the technical term is "trigger discipline".

But it should work like any other skill, you have to hit G, and then select the long form of the skill by hitting the ">" next to the dps and uncheck one of the weapon sets.

I know where the weapon set swap is, in this case it is on the command tab for the djinn.

I'm talking about the fact that if I set my djinn to only use weapon set 2 and then swap to weapon set 1 it disables my djinn entirely despite the djinn and his abilities not being contingent on a weapon type or any other requirement. Meaning that if I use ember fusilade on weapon set 1 and my djinn skills on weapon set 2, I would cast ember fusilade and then no longer be able to activate my djinn skills unless I manually swap weapon sets.
