Ascendancy trials are still horrible.

Hitting a wall with this patch and it's ascendancy trials.
Was super stoked for druid and the league but I just don't have any interest in playing past the need to do this nonsense.

They don't need to be nerfed or tweaked, they need to be completely removed from ascendancies. Put in a new system.
This has been a top point of feedback since 0.1 and are THE standout thing that GGG has ignored.
You guys have been mostly great about addressing the stuff that people despise, why the blind spot here?

They certainly are.

We could get Ascendacy points for killing act bosses in the campaign.

Trials are nice for people who enjoy farming them or just take a break from maps, Still has a spot in the game.

Dead tired of having to do them a billion times every season.

Yup.
They absolutely need to change this.

Not once have I ever done full ascendancy, waiting for a div drop to get someone else to do it with their OP char.

I gave up on last league on trying it, and voila - this is the same ...

Its just a disaster to do ... how can I do it with zero drops for trials, and ZERO chaos Res as ever. A total joke.

Player retention in 0.4 is the lowest it has ever been in POE2.
For me it's because of ascendancy trials.

Or because it's December and people focus on their real lives for once.

I also don't like them. I did full ascendency last league on 2 different chars and I just have 1 left to go this league. I'm about 95% sure I can do it first run of Sekhemas but I just don't want to stop to do it. At least it's a good place to get jewels and my current jewels suck.

Idk, even going as fast as I can I feel like 4 floors still takes me an hour.

Also no one likes chaos trial, the only credit I can give it is it's theoretically faster to do - but it's also just so luck based. You can do nothing wrong and just get mega screwed by having only terrible modifiers.

The Ascendancy Trials give me such a downer. Before and during them I have absolutely zero motivation — they’re boring and punishing at the same time, and they just feel like a complete waste of time.

I believe Jonathan is testing us: anyone who has made it through the Trials every single time up to 1.0 is so thoroughly broken that, at that point, he could do whatever he want with us.
