[Resolved] Skills using The Whispering Ice do not trigger the elemental storm skill on crit

The whispering ice permafrost staff while paired with frost darts does not trigger the Stormweaver's Elemental Storm skill even with close to 100% crit. Frost darts is capable of triggering elemental storm with a rare staff.

Could have to do with ailment threshold if your damage per hit is less with the Whispering Ice staff. Otherwise a bug.

Thank you for the reply! The damage with Whispering Ice is higher than the rare staff unfortunately, so I don't think it is the ailment threshold. I just tested with skills and it looks like anything cast using the whispering ice staff is incapable of triggering the elemental storm skill so I will edit my post to be more general.

I should have checked the weapon sets before posting. The skill was assigned to weapon set 1. Don't be like me, check your skills.
