Going into the Vaal Temple during maps is closing my map?

3/3 vaal temples I've ran in maps now have closed my map. I complete the temple go back to the front and can't get back into the map. Go back to hideout and the portals are closed, the map is failed. Am I doing something wrong?

The game closes instances after something like 15 minutes. So it's better to complete the map and then go to the temple after, either from hideout (map button on the right) or walk back to it in the map.
