Item lost after Vaal corruption due to server disconnect

I was in a Vaal area and used a Vaal corruption/enchanting table on my ring.
After corruption, the item high-rolled very well (estimated value ~13 Divine Orbs). I was only able to price-check it for about 5–10 seconds.

Immediately after that, I was disconnected from the server with a message I have never seen before, something like:
“The game realm has dropped you from the server.”

When I logged back in:

- I was still in the Vaal area

- The Vaal temple was closed and I could not re-enter it

- The map in my Hideout was also closed

- The ring was completely missing from my inventory

Expected behavior:
After reconnecting, the corrupted item should either remain in my inventory or be restored consistently.

Actual behavior:
The item disappeared entirely after the disconnect.

Question / Concern:
Is it possible to permanently lose items placed in Vaal corruption tables if a server disconnect happens at that moment?

This looks like a serious item-loss bug related to server desync or rollback during Vaal corruption.
