Massive lag spikes at random locations and time

Hello GGG,

If you ever come across this post, I want to express my strong disappointment with the technical state of the latest Path of Exile 2 update. The persistent lag spikes I have been experiencing have made the game effectively unplayable for me since day one.

I chose to purchase PoE2 in early access because I trusted your studio and your long-standing reputation for quality and technical competence. Unfortunately, that trust has been significantly undermined. Paying for early access with the expectation of helping test and support development is one thing, but being unable to meaningfully play the game at all due to severe technical issues is another. As a customer, I feel let down, and this situation has left me genuinely discouraged.

To be specific: the lag spikes occur at completely random moments during gameplay and frequently exceed 20,000 ms. Under these conditions, progressing through the campaign is difficult, if not impossible. I spend more time relogging into the game in the hope of temporarily reducing the lag than actually playing it.

Given that this is an early access product, I expected rough edges—but not issues of this magnitude that prevent basic gameplay. At present, the experience feels less like early access testing and more like paying to troubleshoot fundamental server or networking problems on my own.

System specifications:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (8-Core)

Internet connection: 1 Gbps

RAM: 32 GB

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as situations like this risk eroding the trust of players who supported the project early.
