Boss bug

After I entered the boss(The Devourer) area on map(bloodwood) and knocked off half his HP, the boss emerged from the arena by underground digging and waited for me outside. A relog with the exit to the hideout helped. Afterwards, I was able to enter the map and kill him outside the boss arena.
