Lost my map after going to a Temple inside it!

Was playing on a Channel map, Waystone tier 1.
I activated the 6th beacon in that map, and went inside the portal to the Vaal Temple.
After finishing the Temple, I tried to TP back but it said "Portals are disabled here".
I then walked all the way back to the entrance where Alva and Doryani are, tried to TP out from there, same issue.

I then had to go to my hideout, and when I got there, the portals to my map were closed and on the tablet for that map it said: "Tablets may not be applied to maps that you have previously attempted".

Note: I didn't waste any time outside of the Vaal Temple, I went in and completed it in one go before the issue happened. I also did not die.
