Act 1 Route logic: makes no sense

How does it make sense that we need to go through Lachlann’s family grave to get to the Manor?

Do horse and carts from Grelwood need to go through this grave to bring supplies to the Manor?

Seems completely non-sensical that this location is mandatory on the way to the Manor…
