I'm not having fun

This is not a hate post. I'm not trying to mindlessly bash on the game. I understand it's this in early access blah blah blah. Of course there is issues with every game, and GGG as generally been very consistent with addressing those and listening to the feedback of the community.

POE2 has been out for over a year now and i dont have fun, i dont enjoy it. So for the first time ever i will voice my thoughts, mostly cause i need to vent.

The leveling experience is awful. Its slow and laborious, The starting skills have no impact and its not like i have many options. Feels like i'm stuck in a nightmare running but barely moving

The skill tree feels like its artificially big, by that i mean there are way too many small nodes leading to, very often, detrimental keystones like +40% attack damage but -10%skill speed. What is that?

The game feels more like im managing handicaps than getting stronger

They focusing so much on making combat ''meaningful'' wich would work if the maps were way smaller with 4 or 5 mobs. But we have way to big area filled with monsters. You cant have both. And i believe its the core of the problem. POE2 has an indentity problem

I love trying out new builds, but the experience is so bad, and the damn trials to get the points.... I cant take it anymore

i dont care really care if the league mechanics dont really work, it's usually fixed pretty quickly and we can get back to our usual buiseness. But at its core, the game is just not fun

It looks amazing, the work they put on animating the Druid is insane. GGG is very talented, but at its core the game unfonctionnal

I remain hopeful that the game will improve, but it feels like the problems are so deeply rooted that i'm kinda losing hope at this point.

I don't know, i will shelve it for a while and maybe the next update, if they don't have a super class to release they will have more time to work on the core of the game

I feel like this sums up the game and their design philosophy. I do think it's intended. And that's fine, some people will enjoy that. I've played every league and find myself playing less and less. I'll keep checking back but right now the game has become Not For Me.
