Vaal Temple bug / Cannot access Atziri despite room being "connected" per minimap

I have the following all connected on my temple map:

Temple entrance, various rooms, Atziri Access Chamber, and Atziri's Chamber

There is a door to every room shown on the map.

When I go to the access chamber, it says I need to connect Atziri's room to the temple to access it. But, on the map, it shows it as connected.

I connected Atziri's Chamber to my temple using a guard room. Maybe this is the bug - even though the room shows it as being connected, because it's not a normal connecting room, it's not working?

Either way, I keep opening/closing my temple to try to reset it, but it won't reset. So I can't fight Atziri/access her, and I also can't seem to reset the temple.

Also, please revert the monkey nerf... that was the best fight in the game!
