Are we supposed to loose all progress and rewards if we die in a MAP?

I finished rituals. Went to the boss encounter and died. Still 3 portals remaining but ritual is gone. Cant see any altars? NO rewards...

Is this intended?

It is currently intended if you die to a map boss, yes.

Well I feel it is silly. Why do that if we stil have portals left?

This game can be pretty vexing. Interesting new ascendancies but general slowness aforementioned silly narrow-minded game mechanic and poor end game ===> nill motivation. Final nail in the poe 2 coffin.

Time to take break from POE 2.

Should have really waited before buying the early access.

No wonder the player count is almost half compared to launch--atleast on steam.
