Heavy Belt disapear POE2

Today I used an Orb of Chance on a (normal- white) Heavy Belt and both items disappeared immediately. Is there anything that can be done about this, please?

That's not a bug - this is how it is intended to work. The Orb of Chance either changes your normal item into a unique, or destroys it.
