Vaal Ruins workbench eating gear

I placed a newly acquired Voltfang Talisman, which was a massive upgrade, in an exalted workbench. I walked to the next room, attempted to use Shred, realized I left it in the workbench, walked back to the previous room, and the workbench was disabled. Talisman got eated.
