PC Shutdown while playing POE2
|
Hello, I have had now 3 PC shutdowns (no BSOD, no crashing, instant shutdown) while playing POE2 (and only while playing POE2). I have had this setup for 2 and a half years and I have 450h of POE2.
My specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D MB: GIGABYTE X670 Gaming X AX GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 Eagle OC 16G Cooler: NZXT Kraken Liquid Cooler X63 RGB 280 mm PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum 850W ATX 2.51 RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 There are some reddit threads about it linking it (but not only) to 7800X3D players as well: * https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1n4v3si/comment/nc426xn/ * https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1prffoc/poe_2_crash_pc_shutdown_issues_any_fix/ The crashes happened in the following circunstances: * first load into kingsmarch * while in a map * idle in hideout, game in background My game is limited to 90fps in foreground and 30fps in background. This is very bizarre as this is not due to CPU or GPU overheating (I've been monitoring temps and they are very stable, no event viewer warnings related to any temps prior to eventID 41 related to the shutdown. I wanted to flag this and see if it may relate to any performance changes that have been made recently. The first crash happened on the 21st of December. Thank you Последняя редакция: MenOfWarr#7582. This error can be caused by various issues, such as faulty hardware like damaged RAM. It can be caused by bad drivers. it can be caused by hard drives being bad. It can be caused by issues with the power supply. It can be caused by issues with power from the wall.
I would start by updating your drivers and repairing your POE2 install and trying again. IGN : Reamus

Computer shutdown are usually related to hardware failure, normally the PSU since it's handling power. I recommend you stress test your stuff.

If you have any manual overclocks then undo them or pull them back some
