Map area (and content) unconnected to main map

Playing on Flotsam, finished the map and followed the guiding icons to the remaining content. There was an essence monster off to the side so I went over there, but it wasn't connected to the main map at all. Thankfully I found a spot I could use a leap skill to reach it.
