Spirit not working

I unlocked the abyssal lich and wanted to play around with umbrel souls.

When I try summoning minions to get the buff, it tells me not enough spirit even though I have 300 spirit. The only way I can use the minion resv is if I put the sceptre in the main hand, but I need my wand in the main hand, any ideas on how to fix?

That's weird. I've definitely had minions active when using wand/spear + minion sceptre.

When stuff like this happens i try to think of how to blame it on attributes. Do you have the attributes for the sceptre and all the support gems on your build?

And just to be sure the minion sceptre is in your offhand, not your 2nd weapon set right?

I've sometimes had the issue where I couldn't activate spirit skills because the game thought I don't have the spirit, even tho I had, looking at the UI and my stats.

So far switching the weapon sets a few times or re-equipping gear and/or skill gems has fixed it.

Fixed it the issue was that I had a wand with spellslinger and no active skill in that wand, Once I put a low level spell in the wand, it activated the wand spell (like a buff) and fixed the spirit issue. Weird bug.
